Publishing

Drishti Publishing is a Hybrid Publishing House.

How is that different from a traditional publisher? In a few ways. We are similar in that we select the books we publish. Not every manuscript submitted gets published, it has to fit in with our values, our vision and our voice. We are different from Self Publishing because we provide all the support of a traditional publisher, while encouraging you to express your creative freedom both in your book and in the promotion of it.

  • When you publish with us you own your work. We have the distribution rights.
  • You have final say in creative decisions. We are there to support you to reach your goals.
  • You get 85% of the royalties, in traditional publishing you get 10-15%.
  • We set up and manage all sales channels and distribution.

You invest in the creation of your book; the editing, design and promotion. We provide you with all the support, strategy and framework to get it done for you.

Is it worth paying to have a book published? We think so. In this format we collaborate, share the risk and give you a much higher earning potential than if you do it all yourself. When you work with us you have a team around you.

If your book is accepted to be published with us we ask you to choose one of three levels of support. The most basic one will get the job done and asks more of you, especially in the promotion phase. The most elaborate one is a bigger investment but gives you a more robust base and offers several more options. All three of them are great choices, it really just depends on how much hand holding you want and need, and what your budget is.

Concept Development

However you choose to tell your story, whether it’s through a novel, a cookbook, non fiction or an eco system of deliveries, you need a clear concept.

Looking at your goal; digging deep into the wants, needs and available tools and resources we build a clear map together.

Telling your story should be full of joy. We help you build the roadmap for the journey to deliver yours to the world.

Editing and Proofreading

We offer different weights of editing and prooreading. You might want full guidance through your writing and editing process, or a proofread for typos only. Wherever you fall on the scale, there is a solution for you.

We work with skilled editors with their own strenghts and styles to find the best fit for your project.

Typesetting and Design

Using the insides of your book to give your readers the experience you want them to have is done in the typesetting and design of your book.

Through cover and back design to helping your pages flow with a layout that serves your book and makes your project sing effortlessly.

Audiobooks

Having your book available as an audio book is a great way to serve a larger audience.

You can record your book yourself, hire a voice talent or use AI, all depending on your budget, desires and type of book.

An auido book falls nicely into a whole ecosystem of deliveries, one that might include in addition to your book a video course or series, workbooks and workshops.

Book Launch

When your book is ready to be delivered, how it enters the world matters.

You might choose to launch it with a Kickstarter campaign, a carefully crafted PR campaign on social media or through in person events. Or a combination of all of the above.

This is an exciting part of your project and one that determines how successful it will be. It’s important to not overlook but to play with this and spend some time and resources crafting the experience.

We help you prep your social media for your launch, build the parts brick by brick and make sure that your book enters the world exactly as it is intended to.

Ghost Writing

Working with a ghost writer, someone who writes your book for you, has several benefits and reasons to do.

You might not have time to write your book. You might not be a confident writer. You might feel blocked.

A ghost writer is often not publically credited, your name is on the book and in most cases their names are not shared.

You know your book needs to be written, and this is where a ghostwriter comes in to help you.

The important thing is that your story gets told, and a ghostwriter can be the best way to accomplish your dream of sharing your stories.
